Soil and Groundwater Assessments

In addition to Phase I & Phase II ESAs, Singleton Environmental can complete Brownfields Assessments, Soil Vapor Monitoring and other custom soil and groundwater assessments.

Brownfields Programs and Assessments

Brownfields Assessments are needed when applying for a US EPA Brownfields Program on a site that has known contamination.  According to the US EPA, Brownfields Programs create many benefits for local communities that are outlined below:1)  They create local jobs.2)  They increase local tax revenues – sales tax, property tax, etc.3)  They increase nearby residential property values 5% to 15.2%. 4)  There are tax incentives for the developers involved.

Singleton Environmental has experience working with the NCDEQ Brownfields Section who implements the Brownfields Programs in North Carolina on behalf of the US EPA.

Soil Vapor Monitoring

Soil Vapor Monitoring is being implemented more recently due to the presence of volatiles being discovered inside buildings near soil and groundwater contamination. SEI has the experience and tools necessary to provide soil vapor monitoring with any soil or groundwater assessment or as a stand alone assessment.
